Meto is on a distinguished road
Hi all,

I am trying to model 1-dimensional atmospheric flow near the surface and inside vegetation canopies; I used modified one-equation (tke) and also k-e models, but I would like to know (before trying) if using realizable k-e model can do better job for inside canopy turbulent mixing simulation (canopy works something like porous medium for the flow)? I know that turbulence is min 3D process but here the idea is to create a simpler (easy and cheap) model!? Does somebody know what is the effect of variable Cmiu on 1D simulation of momentum or scalars for example?? Is it worth to try or it is just waste of time?

Ah yes.., it is about vertical (z-direction) mixing!

Thanks,
Meto
