Dear friends am beginner in CFD, could u plz explain the physics of Elliptic Parabolic and Hyperbolic Equations

The first ones are generally related to equilibrium problems (defomation, heat transfer, etc), the second ones are related to time-evolving problems with second order derivative in space. For elliptic equations no characteristic curves exist in real space, the parabolic equation has a real characteristic curve in the time-space plane
