FUTURE OF CFD - WHERE IT LEADS
Is it a saturation point came into CFD field as there is nothing left except turbulence frankly speaking
is cfd over after fascinating some 20 years or we will continue living with some small modifications in existing things please comment |
Re: FUTURE OF CFD - WHERE IT LEADS
Actually signicant CFD work was going on in the US in the 1960's (possibly the UK and other places as well). So let's give it 45 years!
Don't know the answer to your question. But there appears to be plenty left to do as long as the big problems (turbulence, climate change, flow details over cars, planes, through city structures, etc) still require huge massively parallel systeems. |
Re: FUTURE OF CFD - WHERE IT LEADS
The list of things that needs to be done and/or can be done to provide more solutions is growing far quicker than the ability of any organization to add new features. If you think the only thing left is minor enhancements and modifications then you know nothing about what CFD or CFD in conjunction with other physics is capable of.
