I am analysing a chamber with electrically heated bar kept in the centre. Its a 3dimensional analysis. I have the current flowing through the bar. Knowing the material of the bar (aluminium) I can find out its resistance and subsequently the Watts generated. In Fluent I can specify volumetric heat generation (W/m3) or surface heat flux(W/m2).

In the design modeler I prepared a heated bar and surrounded it by an air domain. Here, should I go for Boolean subtract operation? If yes, then I am not able to put volumetric heat generation in FLUENT. Please help me in correcting my approach...
