I am a refinery professional, and am a bit confused to make the right choice for a general purpose commercial CFD software.
1. Which is the most popular CFD software for refineries and petrochemicals? 2. What features or capabilities makes the leading software better than others? |

Hi,
Welcome to the forum. Your question is very pertinent, but unfortunately challenging to answer. I do not have the refinery experience required to answer your two very specific questions. Your best bet would be to: - talk with other refinery professional to see which software they are using and their experience with it; - or try to find CFD results pictures from the web or publication and reverse engineer to find which software was used (this is reasonably easy to achieve). If you post a link to a picture, this forum may be able to assist with finding which software was used.
