Hi everyone,

I am a final year student and am doing my final year project to determine the startup curve of Darrieus wind turbine.

I have been trying to use ANSYS Fluent with Sliding Mesh technique, but finally I realized that inside the code of UDF we need to assume the sub_domain (the circular domain in the center including blades) is rotating at a constant speed, which means nothing related to my concern.

So my question is there any method to make such a simulation that can determine the rotating speed at a specific time from rest. My supervisor suggested me to use X Flow but I have doubt about it, personally I'm thinking of basic numerical model and using MATLAB.
