Boundary conditions for enabling heat transfer
Hi there,
I am building a simple model that will allow me to apply heat to the outer surface of a roughened aluminium duct and cool it using an air flow inside. I have built a planar model within Design Modeler, made up of 2 surface bodies, meshed separately in ANSYS Meshing but now I cannot figure out what boundary condition to apply in fluent. The heat flux is being applied using a wall boundary condition at the outer side, but applying a wall boundary condition on the inner side doesn't seem right. I want ANSYS to conduct the heat to the roughened surface and then transfer it to the fluid, and applying 0 heat flux would mean insulating it - the exact opposite of what I want. I have 2 interior zones (aluminium and air) and 2 boundary zones (outer and inner surface of aluminium). What is best to use, please?
Thanks!
