flow in a tube with twisted tape inserts
Hi
I'm simulating flow in a tube with twisted tape inserts. Boundary conditions are velocity inlet at inlet and pressure outlet at outlet. wall boundary condition is imposed at the tube wall and tape insert.http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/C:\...p\Untitled.jpghttp://postimg.org/image/g42fwcf23/http://http://postimg.org/image/g42fwcf23/http://s9.postimg.org/rgf1e4nr3/Untitled.jpg When I calculate the friction coefficient using the equation f = dP / (L/D) / (ro*V^2/2) ( dP= Pressure lost, L = Length of the tube, D=diameter of the tube, ro= density, V= inlet velocity) It is almost twice the value calculated by others. It would be great if someone could help me and tell me what to do. thanks |
Did u solve the problem?
