what is the meaning of distrubuted ansys
 
hello all ,iam a final year mechanical engineering student,i have joined a professional fea course and i use ansys for most of my analysis my question is what is distributed ansys ,for example if i have 2 computers can i share the computing load between two computers...

Hi

Short answer: Yes. Ansys supports different ways of parallel processing (Shared Memory, Distributed Memory and in newer Versions even GPU for some models).
Just have a look at this ppt from Ansys. It is a little too shiny ad by Ansys but gives you an idea how it deals with your resources.
