Reliability of current the Reynolds number correction method for scaling
 

Hi,

I heard about that, for aircraft design, people usually scale the experimental model to a smaller size in the wind tunnel. Then they keep the mach number the same and do the measurement. Then they use the Re correction formula to correct the measurement data to the original size. I'm wondering how reliable the Re correction calculation is? How many percentages of error will it introduce? And how about I use this method to the CFD scaling to reduce the grids number?
