another question: 3d Simulation

hi, need help. the situation is a submarine submerged underwater, relatively close to the free surface. Fluid is supposed to flow past the submarine fin, and im suppose to analyse the behaviour of the free surface as well as the wake formed behind the fin.i've used a segregated unsteady solver, ke turbulence model for a 3d simulation. I set my convergence to ^-5, and kept the default values for under relaxtion. I set a the free surface and the two side boundaries as symmetry to achieve a free slip condition, and a velocity inlet and outlet..However when analysing, the contours and vectors of velocity, it shows a laminar type of result. As in instead of vortices and circulation formin in the wake, the fluid seems to smoothly go around the fin. Could anyone suggest any changes i could make to the parameters in order for me to get an accurate result? Thanks
