Default multi-dim interpl. polyn. for reconstr.

Hi, Can anyone suggest a good interpolation polynomial (multi dimensional) for reconstructing the cell averages? I employ them for unstructured WENO schemes.

I have currently employed the basic series expansion. But, for multi-dimensions, it is quite unstable for strong shocks. I was wondering if some thing like radial basis functions were employed for the same.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Radial basis functions have been used by Thomas Sonar on unstructured grids. Search for his papers.
