Default Initial Transients: Physical or Numerical

Hi,

Can initial Transients for an unsteady flow simulation be 'physical' when a higher order accurate time stepping/ space discretization scheme is used ? Lets say the unsteadiness is introduced by virtue of body movement right from time t=0.
