Hi Forum,

I am trying to model the air friction on the rotor of a motor. I am using Fluent I tried to use the MRF approach similar to wind turbine simulations (rotating fluid, stationary wall relative to fluid) I also have a stator and a stationary air region outside

I am not using any inlet and outlet just because I am not sure how the air flow axially. So I put walls on the two ends of the stationary air. Now my problem is that I don't really see torque on my rotor. Are my settings correct? Or should I even use the MRF? Because in my case it is actually the rotor that's pushing the air not the reverse as in wind turbines. Or should I add inlet and outlet? I am not sure how to set them, I tried with pressure inlet and pressure outlet with zero pressure on both but that gives me similar result as the wall case.

I have been working on this for a while and must get it done really soon. I appreciate your help!

Thanks,
