Re: Ricardo & WAVE

I've ask at work if anyone has successfully simulated flow noise and the answer was no. It may be necessary to use direct numerical simulation instead of a turbulence model to capture the pressure fluctuations, unless there is a way to back them out of k and epsilon, but I'm only hypothesizing.

Re: Ricardo & WAVE

Even DNS does not work, because the pressure fluctuations we call sound (what we can hear in the far field) are some orders of magnitude lower than the turbulent pressure fluctiations in the flow (sometimes called pseudo sound).

Looking for technical assistance with WAVE

Hi
I am not gonna get involved with the "useless" discussion about the accuracy and performance of simulation software. If anyone has better software, he should come forward and compete in the market.

I am facing problem simulation hydrogen engine. The software cannot accept hydrogen as "Gaseous fuel.

If anyone can help i will be thankful. I got excellent performance compared with experimental using gasoline fuel with Ricardo E6/T Variable Compression Engine. I am now interested to do the same with hydrogen fuel.

Any suggestions Plz.

Best regards

Calculate the mass fraction burned

Hi
I am using Ricardo Wave 2016.
I am simulating 4-Stroke diesel and SI engines.
I am interested to calculate the exergy loss during cycle.
In that I need the mass fraction burned, unburned heat loss, burned zone heat loss.
Any clues?

Multifuel using Ricardo

Hi
I am trying to simulate SI engine performance using multifuels(Gasiooline+H2+Ethanol).
I allwaysget douple peak on my P-V and other diagrams
Any clue.
I tried all possible combinations of wiebe fuenction

Dual Fuel

Hi
Has anyone tried to simulate the performance of SI engine using Alcohol + Gasoline as fuel
