VIV Modelling in FLUENT or CFX?
 
Hi all,

As far as VIV is concerned, does nayone know whether FLUENT of CFX is a better tool in predicting VIV?

Also consider Star-CD from CD-adapco. Why, because they have clients in the offshore industry that use Star for this application.

Another reason is price. We were recently visited by Fluent, and Fluent's salesen were very clear in there message. "We do not discount, you will pay our price." There was a difference between our budget and the verbal price from the Fluent robot.

we asked Fluent for a written quote on their best offer three times and received absolutely nothing. No attempt was made by Fluent to negotiate on price. despite asking Fluent made no attempt to contact us.
