Can you model a 3D shape in Pro-E and transfer it to Gambit? Im trying to teach myself 3D modelling by use of tutorials (which is proving difficult) and can use Pro-E. any help would be most appreciated. D

Best bet would be to save your Pro-E part as ACIS or ParaSolid (Save a Copy or Save As) - then import that to Gambit. (I believe Gambit itself is ACIS based - so that may be the best bet.)

I have found that STEP files work the best. (Although I have never tried a parasolid out of Pro/E.)

If you save a copy as a step file and then import it to Gambit, all geometry will be real ACIS geometry.
