Porous disc -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

David Banks Guest Posts: n/a	Hi there everyone I am modelling a simple channle in 2D in order to look at the effect of adding blockages (marine current turbines) so i can look at wake distribution, velocity recovery, etc. I am representing the MCT with simple line blockages but want to allow a certain amount of fluid to pass through them as with real life. Lets say the turbine area is about 15% of the total swept area of one revolution...what values would i use when selecting the disc as being porous? Cheers
