Simulation of suspension flow at sudden contractio
Hi there, I am trying to simulate a suspension flow at sudden contraction. I am pumping a suspension of spherical (or nearly spherical) particles, sized from 20 to 120 um, through a pipe of 4 mm (i.d.). There is a sudden contaction where the pipe becomes 400 um (i.d.). I hope to find out what will happen to the particles when they come into the smaller pipe, such as if they will accumulate at the contraction.
Does anyone know that what software can do this, or if there is any published simulation method, or even an established model? Thanks lot! |
I am facing the same problem... and i am trying to use CFD, but I am not familiar with it now... Can anyone help ?
