Default Is cosmosfloworks any good?
Posts: n/a
Does anyone have any knowledge or experiance of cosmosfloworks (add-on cfd code to Solidworks). I have a limited budget and need to know if this is worth purchasing. My intent is to use it for fluid mixing calculations. I am not happy asking the supplier if its any good as I know what his answer will be already.

any help will be much appreciated.

Not really is the honest answer, I have used it a bit and it wasn't that great. Better if you can get one of the "bigger" commercial codes, they have cheaper cut down versions - flow wizard, star-works etc

I agree 100 % with Harry. I tested it for 1 year and it was waste of time. No correct results in pressure drop (no correct modeling of wall function) Now i use fluent and I am happy. you can also rent fluent for 1 day, 1 week, etc. When your results should be correct you should take one of the 3 big ones. Or you have a look at But i do not know anything about it. It seems to be nice.
