Hey all!
I have just started learning CFD, some 2 months back. And I need some guidance from you. There is this project I am working on, which involves fsi analysis of flapping wings. Now, I know this might be difficult for a beginner like me, but I am willing to devote whatever time I have into learning this. Till now I have gone through this book-> Intro to CFD by John Anderson. It really helped me in grasping the basics, tried some random analysis using the Ansys workbench(fluent),which didn't help much, and right now learning ICEM CFD( trying to be good at meshing). Also I am doing my research work on flapping flight simultaneously. How should I proceed exactly, like which meshing softwares and solvers should I choose ? Can you suggest me some books which can help me learning fsi? Thanks |

Well, You are working on a big target...
a) Do you want to write your own code for Flapping Wing project or you want to use existing codes. Either ways you need to understand how the code works and what basic equations that go in and what methods you will be using to solve the basic governing equations. ALE, Moving meshes, Mesh less methods, particle based methods are few buzz words in this area... There is lot to explain in this regard ... a simple post like this wouldn't be sufficient enough. If you have specific question in mind, if you can post it we can try to answer if it is in our range. Regards |
