Compact finite difference methods

Hi I am interested in working on the topic compact finite difference methods with increased accuracy. Please suggest good and easy comprehensible material to begin with. Thank you Nikhil

These are the different kinds available

DRP(explicit): Tam and Webb (1993),JCP Compact Scheme (Implicit , tri/penta diagonal): Lele (1992),JCP Maccormack (Bidiagonal, explicit): Hixon and Turkel, ICASE/LaRC workshop and there are some similar to these which you can find in the literature.

Re: Compact finite difference methods

hi, You can find a very good introduction to compact schemes in the book CFD by Peric & Ferziger. Before reading the papers mentioned by Harish, this content will help you to get some overview about it and helps you in better understanding of journal papers..
