wolfgangweiss is on a distinguished road
Is it possible to simulate the heat transfer between a solid and a turbulent 2-phase fluid flow? The application is the fast cooling down of a steel pipe from 500°C with water, which of course gets evaporated at the surface of the pipe. I want to know the cooling rate of the steel pipe. Which software is capable of that (openFOAM?) and how are the respective models/functions called to capture the behaviour of the fluid?

Regards, Wolfgang
