My company supplies equipment based on adsorber beds. I want to do CFD analysis to get some steady state single phase flow profile in the bed. Our bed design won't change much, but I want to be able to run CFD with different dimensions for next few years. I looked at CFX and Fluent and they seem like overkill for this one time design and quite expensive. I thought of getting a consultant to do it, but I have to be able to tweak and run slightly different cases myself. Any suggestion on a software that is reasonably priced(upto $5K). If it is hard to setup, I won't mind paying the company to setup the first case and then after that I can tweak the design. Mass transfer and Heat transfer options will be a nice to have for the future but not essential.
