Ansys CFX vs. OpenFoam

Hello,

I am thinking to write my dissertation on wave and current interaction on the seabed, analyzing the water velocity on the seabed. This would be helpful for offshore cables in the renewable industry.

I am new to both software, Ansys CFX (a month long user) and OpenFoam (which I have not used).

In terms of the skills that you develop when using the software, which one would you recommend? I could get Ansys licence from the company I am working with (or potentially an educational version). I know that OpenFoam uses C++ language which I have studied in high school. From an industry point of view, which one is more welcomed?
Advantages/disadvantages?

Thanks very much,
Pavel :)
