Best Linux OS for CFD coding

Hello everyone.

I am kind of beginner in CFD and did some projects using MATLAB and OpenFOAM. But I'm more inclined towards coding using Fortran & MATLAB, and want to setup the most suitable Linux OS for my work in my MacBook Pro.

Which Linux OS would you suggest? :)

I have already used Ubuntu and Debian, which was fine, but I thought I should ask you all as you might suggest me something better, if there is any. Searched in Google already regarding that, but it made me more confused.

Scientific Linux will have all of the development tools and a lot of math, engineering, graphics software as well. Good luck.

the OS you mentioned ore OK. CentOs and Scientific linux are more stable and used for servers. if you want to work with latest versions of packages , use Fedora. otherwise the other OS ore Ok too.

Thank you very much for your suggestion.
But I think MacBook doesn't fully support Scientific Linux.

How about CAELinux?
