codes for Cartesian Grid generation?
 

Dear CFDers:

If you are aware of any Cartesian Mesh generator, can you post the website? It will be the best if it can read CAD file directly (IGS/STL/Step/SolidWorks). Thanks!

Very recently i put a cartesian grid generator as a public code (FORTRAN 90) on the web: http://mehr.sharif.ir/~tav/cartgen.htm

it reads input geometry as a (or multiple) of STL files (ASCII or Binary) and generate internal gird. For external gird a little modification is needed.

note that it have not still a manual, but i think that it is easy to use at lease in contrast to other alternatives, the detailed description of algorithm is included in this paper:

CartGen: robust, efficient and easy to implement uniform/octree/embedded boundary cartesian grid generator, International Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, accepted, 2007.
