hi, I am doing car park ventilation system using fluent Am having grid cells of 14-20 lakhs.
i initially started my simulation with 4 GB RAM system having 32bit windows XP system was slow while doing meshing and i upgraded the RAM to 8GB now meshing is quicker but takes more time to export the mesh from gambit should we have to go for 64 bit processor or what is the ideal config thanks in advance regards, Hari V.B. |

I could be wrong, but I believe 32-bit XP only supports up to 3Gb RAM, so from upgrading from 4Gb to 8Gb should not have done anything. If you want to use more than 3Gb you will need to go to 64-bit.
