Any material about accelerating piston wave?

Hi, everyone:
Are there any materials about the wave generated by an accelerating piston (velocity changes with time from 0 to alpha*t) into a gas at rest? Thanks. |

Try & simulate it. It's not that difficult. Take a look at the Papers section on the link below. In your case, you'd ramp the velocity into the flow domain, whereas my papers show an impulsive input wave.

Caveat: Those papers are for an incompressible fluid.
