Default Doubt - Multiblock coding

Dear Members, I m developing 3D-NS code using Fortran language.. I am facing problems with multiblocking .... I am unable to understand , how to declare global variable in "data type". I am using "module" and then defining "type" within the module. If i try to use "common" statement than I have to specify the array size also and then i will not be able to use dynamic memory allocation. In the fortran text available , they generally, in refernce examples call the "subroutines" by passing variable. Is doing this a good option ??? How do i achive passing variables within subroutines ... Please help me regarding this ..

Thanks in advance. Abhishek
