B.C.

Someone a while ago mentioned introducing an absorbing layer to minimise acoustic reflection at far field boundaries when solving the compressible Navier-Stokes equations. COuld they please provide a reference?

Thanks Shuo

Re: B.C.

There are large numbers of references to absorbing layers in the literature for all sorts of computational problems. Perfectly Matched Layer (PML) is a useful term to search on. As is sponge layer and absorbing layer.
