open source cfd for ic engine??

Hello!

I am currently trying to simulate IC engine combustion. I have seen Ansys v14's ease of use for ic engine but, I personally do not have ansys( it's been a wild-goose chase for me trying get a student version and i don't use crack).

Simple question: Is there a OpenSource cfd software with comparable simplicity for simulation of 2D ic engine with fuel properties and the works? Tutorial links for the same will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Akshay N

P.S.: If anyone knows how to buy student version at discount price (without the academic ritual) please let me know. Any heads-up on the non-student pricing will also be useful.

I don't know about open source, but maybe contact the team LANL working on KIVA. The website below states that the KIVA EXEC version is free, but has a 45k cell limitation. Perhaps they have a student license. Best of luck.

Thanks!! Would like to know if the 45K limit is crippling any analysis data?
