hi all,

Good day...

Duct losses due friction & bends in sheet metal duct to be calculated theoratically . What factors will influence. can i have any analytical method. please advice me.....

Hi

You need to determine whether your flow is laminar or turbulent.

You could use bernoulli's equation. Look up any fluid mechanics text book in the section for pipes running full. Friction factors can be found from a moody diagram, losses due to bends, expansions and contractions are more than likely to be found in the textbook.

You could also use cfd.
