OOTB is on a distinguished road
Good day,

Im trying to calculate the resultant swirl angle on a plane at a pump suction. The swirl angle for each cell on the place can be calculated as arctan(Vt/Va) with a cylindrical coordinate system where the origin is in the middle of the plane and the axial flow direction normal to the plane. Do I just take the average of these angles as the resultant swirl angle or do I need to take the arctan of the average tangential and average axial velocities?

thank you.
