HI...I am doing hydro-dynamic analysis of an underwater vehicle(UWV). I want to refine mesh around UWV by dividing my fluid domain into sections.Can anyone please guide how to do it in ANSYS ICEM mesher. The image of domain I want to build is attached

Hi,

Well i recommand you not to split it in regions, try to have one mesh that is refined on the walls of your object and coarser else where, in ICEM you can at the first create block then divide it, after that create your edges (containing the number of elements) and there are some options to go from a refined to coarser mesh.
Try to keep a structured mesh because your geometry is not that difficult.

Thankx alot for your response.Can u further elaborate how to create blocks or how to make mesh finer near walls of Underwater vehicle??I am new to Ansys and need support, please.

Hey,

There are a lot of Tutorials on youtube, i recommand you to see the one with : ICEM Mesh for a Cylinder and NACA0012, try to follow the steps and i am sure that you will do it. if not you can send me your geometry and i will try to make you the mesh.
