Steam boiler and superheater simulation
Hello,
I am about to start a study of a system including a boiler and superheater for steam generation. Both these components are made of pipes in parallel arrangement. At this design level there is no need for a detailed CFD analysis, but rather a simplified (1D ?) analysis that consider the heat transfer processes in the course of the flow along the pipe (liquid heating, boiling, two-phase and dry steam). It's been ages since I had done anything with steam at all, and it is anyway too elementary. I am sure there are many references on this and related subjects. Can anyone recommend me a good, authoritative starting point (textbook, reference book, good articles)? Thanks a lot, Rami PS: Not a CFD issue, but surely there are experts in this forums that may hand me a pointer... |

Thanks Allen, I'll try to get this book.
More suggestions are welcome! |
