Hi there,
I'm looking for a software package to do modeling of mixing liquids in stirred reactors. The user interface should be somewhat intuitive, solver should be robust, workflow (importing CAD-data, meshing, solving, evaluating) should be stable. I would solve both transient and stationary, evaluate torque of the rotating solid parts and concentration changes in the liquid fluid over time. Chemical reactions are not of interest. Optionally solids distribution within liquid would be modeled. Liquid would be (mostly) one phase. There should be active trouble shooting support and qualified trainings available by the vendor. I tried so far Autodesc CFD. It works stable, but has extremely poor support and results are somewhat buggy. Therefore I want to change to another software bundle. According to what I found in the forum, Star CCM has a somewhat difficult user interface. Comsol seems to work instable. So - rather trying Ansys CFX or Fluent? Low licence fees for multicore usage would be a plus, though. Any suggestions and experiences? |
