centrifugal compressor with FLUENT

Dear cfd people,

I'm a researcher at University of Bologna (Italy), I'm used with CFX4, but now for some reasons I have to model a centrifugal compressor using Fluent. I order to speed up my "understanding process" about fluent I ask you some suggestions, in particular: -how to define a moving (rotating) grid -which is (or could be) the appropriate turbolence model and the resolution scheme -If is it possible to you to send me some sample cases already done. Thank you for any suggestion

(1). A first step in this direction is to do the journal paper search, to find out how many CFD papers have been published in the radial compressor field. (2). Then ask the vendor of the code to supply the technical papers in the compressor applications.

Dear Sir,

If your are looking for CFD software dedicated to turbomachinery desgin and analysis, we might suggest you to visit our web site www.numeca.com, as we are offering the advanced CFD solutions and in particular FINE/Turbo for turbomachinery designers. FINE/Turbo allows to get a 3DNS solution in less than an hour on a PC from an input file containing the geometry and the boundary conditions !

Very best regards Marc Tombroff
