VOF single bubble rising velocity!

Hi, everyone on CFD forum:

Recently, I'm simulating a single gas bubble rising in infinite stagnant water using FLUENT, as you know, 3D VOF is very time consuming, so can anyone give me some advise on this subject and specificly how can I judge the convergence and how can I know the rising volecity of bubble (i.e. how can I know the centroid of bubble) in FLUENT VOF unsteady simulation. Thanks for your reply in advance!

Re: VOF single bubble rising velocity!

at First, I create a Isosurface vof=0.5 and get the centroid of the bubble through surface integrals panel Area Weighted of Average Grid X/Y Coordinate without an air layer at the top of the water pool, but when I add an air layer at the top, I just can not get the centroid using the method mentioned above, so can anyone help me for that!

AND can I use the Dynamic Gradient Adaption in FLUENT VOF unsteady simulation to refine the interface mesh every time step when coarse mesh is used to reduce caculation time.

Hello!
I face the same problem did you solve your question?
Thank you!!
