Velocity outlet

Hi all,

I have a simulation where I know I have to have around 1m/s at the inlet and I need what should the velocity be at the outlet since I am sucking air out of a tube or cube. How could I know this?

So you have a square or round pipe with a velocity inlet at one end and don't know what to specify at the other end?

If you don't have any other info you can specify a pressure boundary at zero gauge pressure. That should let the flow propagate through your domain.

I use this setup often for low speed external areodynamics where I have a velocity inlet upstream and pressure outlet downstream.
