Reynolds Shear Stress calculation

Hi, Can someone please guide me as how to calculate the Reynolds shear stresses at a required point. What I understood is that we calculate the turbulent viscosity (meu_t) using turbulence model. And this meu_t is proportional to ( <u'u'> ). Actually I was reading a paper in which the experimental and CFD normalized Reynolds shear stresses (<u'u'>/Vrms ) were compared and I dont know how it was calculated at a given location. Thanks very much. ND

Re: Reynolds Shear Stress calculation

Sorry, the symbols seems to have gone missing. The Reynolds shear stress is given as product of fluctuating parts of the u velocity which is equal to the Instantaneous velocity minus average velocity.
