Can I use SIMPLE algorithm for solving the momentum equation in one-dimension ONLY. Where can I get it from.

Hi depends on what conditions you are going to simulate, the differences between SIMPLE and SIMPLEC regards only one coefficient of the equation. Btw you should find a quite esaurient exaplanation in Chap.25 of Fluent User Guide. I hope this helps.

Thank for your reply.
Am not using any commercial software. Just trying to read and develop it I read that some people have it from some books. I hope if someone have can email it to me. The main point it is possible to use it for 1-D case. |

yes. it will work in 1-d. look at 'Numerical Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow' by S.V. Patankar, who was one of the developers of the simple algorithm. it's a very good book, a real classic.... amazon list it, but most uni libraries will also have it.
good luck andy |
