hypersonic flow simulation
hi fellows,
i am facing problem extremely high temperature during hypersonic flow around objects. the total temp is up to 50000 to 60000 Kelvin. also i am having a flat total temp contours at base. i.e. total temp is reaching 30000 kelvin even before it is hitting the object. i used pressure farfield boundary. about above 20 mach. anyone having any view will be a great help. Thanks. |
Re: hypersonic flow simulation
You can calculate the kinetic energy at the farfield bc, divide it by the specific heat of your fluid, the result in kelvins will give the maximum possible temperature rise
