Hello all,
I have question concerning meshing of the aircraft. Is it necessary to refine wake region of the aircraft at higher angle of the atack ? Does it have huge impact on the lift and drag coefficient ? I noticed that in all studies engineers dont refine wake region or it is only small mesh refinement. |

To get the correct prediction of wake and boundary layer separation it is better to refine the region and to maintain the required Y - Plus value.

Of course Y+, in my case need to be close to 1 thats why i wonder if i can reduce number of cells in wake region.
Is there any best practice book or article concerning meshing in external aerodynamic ? |
