Hi everyone,
I am currently working on my masters project on "thermal simulation of multi chip module with components". Since ANSYS is not my strong side, My question is how can i model the electric packages like multi chip module and perform thermal simulation ? I have been thinking of icepak but i have no idea how to get started with the project? it is a solid body model and i have to find out the junction temperature of the component "MOSFET". If my question does make sense to anybody and can help me. you are most welcome. thank you. |

In an industrial environment computer programmes are used to design PCB, the output of these programmes contains all information needed to carry out complete thermal analysis using other computer programmes such as the one you mention in your post
but in a school environment, what is the objective of giving you such project. May be your professor wants you to solve the problem using available commercial programmes May be your professor wants you to produce a thermal net work that can be solved using an excel sheet or in house programme Talk to your professor, define the objective Mean while look the following web page http://www.tak2000.com/ThermalConnection.htm Good luck |
