Advance/Speed up time stepping in SIMPLE alogrithm

Hi,

I am using time stepping SIMPLE algorithm to solve steady state problems which takes a lot of time step to converge to steady state.
How can i advance or Speed up time stepping while solving Navier-Stokes equation using simple algorithm to solve steady state problem.

Thanks.

Tweaks on the SIMPLE algorithm, such as SIMPLEC, SIMPLER, etc., specifically attempt to decrease the total number of iterations (can get away with larger relaxation factors) through more accurate velocity correction computations per iteration.

Thanks for the reply.
Can you suggest any algorithm which solve NSE without any time stepping (discard transient term). Is Fluent steady state solver, uses above tweaks or they completely discarding transient term.

Fluent employs SIMPLE by default for steady-state flows but SIMPLEC is also available. Both algorithms disregard the transient terms.

If you're trying to solve a statinoary problem, use the Fluent steady state solver, it is a bona-fide steady-state solver without a transient term.
