Dear forum participants,
Could someone clear me up a question if it is possible to implement SAS turbulence model of Menter to a 2D compressible RANS code? I don't use any commercial codes, so the question is about fundamentals. I believe since it has LES-like behavior, the 2D application is limited as well due to the reverse energy cascade, so it has no sense to implement SAS in 2D. Or? Another question is about initial data for SAS calculations, do they need to be prepared in a way as for LES, so that an fluctuating field must be defined initially? Thank you in advance! |
