Difference between Elmer, Freefem++ and Caffa

Hello,

I solved a Navier-Stokes equation problem with 3 differents solvers:

- FreeFem++ - Elmer - Caffa

I have to make a synthesis of results to explain the differences between the 3 simulations.

Somebody would be able to help me ? I just want to know what can explain the differences between a Freefem solution and an Elmer solution for example.

Thanks.

Re: Difference between Elmer, Freefem++ and Caffa

FreeFem and Elmer are both finite element solvers, Assuming you have used the same mesh (same number of elements and the same type of elements) then the differences, if there are any, are the result of the rounding off errors (how each solver has been coded, what language). Sorry, I am not familiar with the third programme (if there is a web site, please publish it here). Thank you and good luck.
