Ali,

Are you simulating air through rotating fan? or air through carpark?

You can put constant velocity or mass flow rate into the carpark.

One way is to make straight pipe where the flow is being developed. Then save the velocity profile and input into the carpark inlet.

Thanks

Hope that help.

Jeelonog,
I am simulating air through carpark, i need to put jetfan in this carpark so i tried to draw a cylinder that will act as a jetfan but what i got that the flow doesn't effect the interior of carpark the flow remains inside the cylinder.
Any help i tried alot but it doesn't work same result.
Thanks for your time

I am trying to make a jet fan for my carpark project so i am trying it on a small room and after i will put it on my carpark when it works.
As you can see in the picture cylinder in middle of the room is the jet fan but as you can see it didn't act as jetfan the velocity of room didn't change,so how can i let this cylinder act as a jet fan any help please
Thank you

Hi Ali,

Is your jetfan connected to the carpark as a whole? Is there a surface that block it from entering? You can set it into Interior. Check your mesh.
Try include a picture for description

Thanks

Kind Regards,

Do remember to check the scale of your mesh,

It could be at situation where your mesh is let say 1000m instead of say 10m.

Scaling can be done in Fluent in first few tab I guess

This is the room it is clear for you.
How can i let this cylinder act as a jetfan?

This is all room details not more i am taking default numbers in boundary condition and i am generating energy equation, species and turbulence k-E in the model. it is only an case study to know if the the cylinder in the middle of the room will act as a jetfan.

Hi Ali,

If you want the flow to enter in a devloped form make a long long cylinder and run the air flow once it exit ur jetfan it should has the form of turbulence since the wall bounded condition no holder holds. By the way what is the CO?

Thanks

Kind regards,
Jee Loong

Also make sure your velocity magnitude of jetfan is in the correct magnitude and direction otherwise it didnt exit the system.

Hi jee,
Thanks for your information.
In this photo i showed you my jet fan simple, but i am confused in boundary condition specification so in the jet fan inlet and outlet where the ? Shown in picture, what should I specify this 2 faces in boundary condition?
And the interior of jet fan should i keep it interior or what? I have many choices (fan, porous-jump, radiator, wall).
Thank you for your time,
Best regards,
