About Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM)

Recently, I am working on the modelling of flow boiling in metal foam(can be considered as high porosity porous media).

I am wondering if Lattice Boltzmann Method can solve the problem.

I hope someone with experience of LBM can provide some advice, please.

Thank you very much!!!

These guys have been researching LBM for many years: www.lmpt.ufsc.br (the link is from a university lab).

Unfortunally the site is only in portuguese...

So, try to send an email to tha main professor:

Prof. Paulo Cesar Philippi, Dr. Ing. philippi@lmpt.ufsc.br

try google with following terms: ---- Metal Foam lattice boltzmann Erlangen ---- There are some reports, publications etc.

3D Geometry

How can I specify 3D geometry of say a piece of rock having irregular surface (large number of bumps and crevics)
